Mediation and conciliation is a co-operative decision making process in which qualified and impartial mediators/conciliators help couples and family members resolve their differences.

The structured process provides a safe and supportive environment in which each person can have his or her say.

Mediation and conciliation is voluntary and confidential.

Target group
The Mediation and conciliation service is available to anyone wishing to work out an agreement without resorting to a court process. Mediation and conciliation is not appropriate where violence or abuse is an issue.

Availability
Mediation and conciliation is available by appointment during office hours Monday to Friday.

Cost: a fee for service is applicable; it is a sliding scale based upon income. No one is refused on the basis of inability to pay.
