Dan McGlade


Dan is a practising principal Lawyer and accredited specialist in Personal Injury Law. He served on the Centacare Catholic Diocese of Ballarat board from 2008 to 2015.

In 2016 the Centacare Housing Incorporated Board was formed and Dan was appointed as Chairperson.


Tony Godfrey


Tony holds extensive experience in accounting and business management working as a partner in an accounting practice for over ten years, business manager for Catholic Secondary Colleges for over eight years and Business Development Manager for the Catholic Dioceses of Ballarat for seven years.

Tony’s experience extends to Manager of the Catholic Development Fund, Director of Finance and Corporate Services at St John of God Health Care and being involved as an Executive and Board Support for North Ballarat Football & Sports Club.
Tony holds a Bachelor of Business, Masters in Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Catholic Culture. He is also a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA).

Hal Bisset


Hal has been a leading figure in the social housing sector for over 30 years including founding Ecumenical Housing in 1985 and being the CEO for over 18 years.

He was Chairperson of the Victorian Ministerial Advisory Committee on the Supported Accommodation Assistance Program and a member of the Victorian Ministerial Advisory Committee on Housing in the 1990s.

Hal has served as a Director of the Australian Housing & Urban Research Institute and the Australian Institute for Health & Welfare and as Chairperson of the Community Housing Federation of Australia and the National Community Housing Forum.

In 2004 he established Ward Bisset Consulting through which he has provided housing policy and project development advice to all levels of government and numerous community housing organisations.

Over the last 6 years he has been a partner and Executive Director of Affordable Housing Solutions. In 2012-2013 he served as the CEO of the Central Australian Affordable Housing Company.

Hal is a member of the Australasian Housing Institute. He was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 1992 and recognised for his contribution to social housing with a Centenary Medal in 2001 and investiture as a Member of the Order of Australia in 2005.


Mary Darcy


Mary Darcy is a Counselling and Consulting Psychologist working in private practice for over 20 years. Mary has worked extensively in the areas of organisational change and development. Mary holds a Diploma of Teaching, Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Diploma of Social Psychology and a M.Ed. Counselling and Consulting Psychology.

Mary also volunteers at the Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka.

Mary was a member of the Centacare board from 1993-2017 and commenced on the housing board in 2017.


Claire Caine


Claire joined the Centacare Housing Board in February 2018. Claire is a registered Real Estate Agent and a Business Owner managing a rental department of over 450 properties and seven staff.

With over 38 years’ experience in nursing Claire has worked in hospital, community health settings and as a university lecturer at Federation University and Australian Catholic University.

Claire holds qualifications as a Registered Division 1 nurse, registered midwife, a Diploma of VET, Graduate Diploma in Midwifery and a full Real Estate Agents licence.
