Chief Executive Officer
Commencing as Chief Executive Officer in January 2017 Tony’s extensive career encompasses work in the welfare and financial sectors.
Working as the Managing Director of State Trustees Tony spent 11 years overseeing the management and operation of the financial and legal service that supports those under a statutory appointment from VCAT. State Trustees employed over 450 people with a gross revenue of over $65m. Under Tony’s management State Trustees grew from 7,000 clients to over 9,200 clients.
Tony’s professional career includes 25 years working for the National Australia Bank (NAB) in domestic and international positions across Marketing and Credit Strategy & Planning. Tony also took a secondment to NAB’s former subsidiary in Northern Ireland.
Tony’s industry leadership positions have included President of the Trustee Companies Association, Member of the Financial Services Council Board Trustee Committee, Treasurer of the Australian Guardianship and Administration Council and a member of the Association of the Australian Public Trustees.
A graduate of the Queensland University of Technology, Tony holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and is a CPA, he is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Family & Community Services
Commencing with Centacare in 2009 Deanna is currently appointed as the General Manager, Family and Community Services with responsibility for family services, the family relationship centre and mental health services.
Deanna’s previous roles include 22 years with the Department of Health/ Human Services Victoria and General Services Manager Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital.
Family, Community & Employment Services
Lyn Commenced with Centacare in December 2017 and is appointed to the role of General Manager Family and Community Services with responsibility for family services, youth services and the victims assistance program.
Lyn holds 25 years’ experience in the child, youth and family services sector, including extensive experience as a private consultant. Previous positions have included working as a Team Leader, Program Manager and Executive Manager of community, family and out of home care services.
Lyn also holds a breadth of knowledge in training, quality, and government policy and change initiatives in the community services sector. Lyn has managed health services and equity and diversity programs within the higher education sector.
Lyn holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Diploma of Management and is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, and the Deakin Alumni Association.
Ross commenced with Centacare in 2019 in the position of General Manager, Corporate Services with responsibility for Finance, Information Technology, Housing Services, Marketing and Facilities.
Ross has worked for the past 5 years in the Public Health System, working specifically in Finance and Corporate Services roles. Prior to that he has held a number of senior Client Management roles in commercial software organisations, specifically in relation to accounting and client management systems.
Ross has a keen interest in customer services and process re-design. He has developed a number of client engagement models currently in use in commercial practice. Ross has been a volunteer board member in the welfare services sector. He also enjoys supporting his family’s local sporting clubs.
Ross holds a Bachelor of Accounting, Masters of Information Systems, Diploma of Education and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA). Ross is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
People and Organisational Development
Karen commenced with Centacare in 2019 in the position of General Manager, People and Organisational Development with responsibility for People and Culture, and Research, Quality and Compliance.
Karen has approximately 25 years’ experience in human resources, organisational development and performance, talent acquisition and management, management/leadership development and quality improvement. She has extensive experience working in the financial services and health insurance industries as well as the tertiary education sector. She has held various senior positions with strategic and operational responsibilities.
Karen holds a PhD in Psychology. She has a keen interest in talent management and engagement, continuous quality improvement and furthering the development of evidence-based best practice.
