Centacare employs over 200 employees, at 25 sites across Western Victoria. We provide social welfare and outreach services that assist people in time of need, empowering people to live with choice and opportunity while building community capacity.

As a not for profit organisation Centacare is classified by the Taxation Office as a Public Benevolent Institution. This allows Centacare to provide the following salary packaging benefits to employees:
- Up to $15,900 for personal expenses per annum before tax;

Flexible Employment Arrangements
To allow employees balance between work, personal life and family commitments our flexible working arrangements give individuals the opportunity to negotiate their working hours with their manager. Employees may negotiate rostered days off and flexible start and finish times. Prior to approval, an assessment of each position and the program needs will be undertaken.
Centacare recognise the value of flexible working arrangements to enable employees to achieve a balance between work responsibilities and personal commitments. Eligible employees have the option of exchanging a pro-rata reduction in their fortnightly salary for the accrual of an additional two or four weeks’ leave per annum. Consideration is given to the operational requirements of the organisation and programs when assessing applications.
Centacare offers 14 weeks fully paid leave that eligible employees may take at full pay or 28 weeks at half pay. This is in addition to any government paid parental leave. Eligible spouses receive up to one week of paid leave on the birth or adoption of their child.
Our parental leave policy offers eligible employees 52 weeks parental leave on the birth or adoption of a child.
Employee Assistance Program
Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential counselling service for employees to access external qualified counsellors for personal, family or work related issues that are impacting on the employee’s well-being. EAP is a free service.
