Centacare Opens Its Own Office Doors in Horsham
On Thursday 21st March, Centacare had the privilege to officially open its own office in Horsham. The office located at 107 Firebrace St, was formally opened by the Bishop of Ballarat, Paul Bird CSsR and Chief Executive Officer Tony Fitzgerald, inviting local dignitaries, key stakeholders, Board Directors and staff to celebrate the event. A traditional smoking ceremony was held by Barengi Gadjin Land Council Director, Geoffrey Marks and were welcomed to country by Joanne Clarke, proud Wotjobaluk woman for the official opening.
Centacare have been providing community and social services throughout the Wimmera for over 40 years and have previously co-located with other organisations to deliver services from the Horsham base.
Current services include Victims Assistance Program, Children, Youth and Family Services, ParentsNext employment, Counselling and Family Relationship Services.
Continued expansion of services has enabled Centacare to have its own office base in Horsham, which will provide opportunity to strengthen its breadth of services and resources available to individuals, couples and families throughout the Wimmera community.
