This Initiative works with Proprietors of the regions Pension-only Supported Residential Services to address issues of viability by identifying and addressing key areas of financial viability in their businesses by offering financial assistance to address residents’ needs.

The Supported Accommodation for Vulnerable Victorians is designed to create a stronger foundation for pension-level Supported Residential Services to improve their viability and meet the increasingly complex support needs of their residents and has three principal components:

  • Facility Cost Relief (FCR);
  • Resident Amenity and Safety Funding; and
  • Supporting Connections

Financial subsidies in the areas of staffing, operating, maintenance, aids and equipment, Room supplements, Staff Training and Resident Activities. Annual one-off grants also include the purchase of furniture, white goods, beds, linen, carpet, heating and cooling devices, fresh fruit and dietician advice
